  2. 2D1Nonly3 says:

lupe is nice and i have respect for and the other rappers that making hip hop better but no need to hate on wayne cause his no ceilings tape is the hottest tape out right now..fuck that lollipop bullshit

  3. JLace73 says:

like he says in his track lasers he wants substance in place of popularity and i agree whole heartedly he turns a song about drug smuggling into one about meditation thats sick dude substance straight up brother thats what hip hop needs… no more dumb nigga shit!

  4. xpaingiverrx12 says:

@srnoz wat about failure thats gotta be up there

  5. Kenarox727 says:

To me it seems hip hop doesn’t get respect as an art form though. Cuz, I mean where is the essence and pride, self respect and shit?
To me it seems like a damn shame that he is basically the face of hip hop to those who only look at its surface, thus why it gets no repect and is either shunned or looked up as pure stupidity or negativity.
Sure we need party bangers and shit, but I mean, but damn, not 24/7 imo. Personal preference, is always there but idk if that goes over self respect.

  6. MagentaDick says:

And I realize this is one of the few videos where the “fuck weezy” comments are relevant, since it is the Fireman beat, but I’m just addressing all of you guys right here. It isn’t just Lil Wayne. The problems of Hip Hop root far deeper than a couple of joke mc’s, it’s a societal issue. Like kool moe dee said just keep it real lol.

  7. MagentaDick says:

@Ginga and rodhavji; I feel what both of you are saying but let it be known you can’t judge a rapper alone by the topics that he raps about..Just because someone raps about drugs or guns doesn’t mean that they’re a bad MC, ever listen to Lupe Fiasco – Hold it Down? Hustlers and Customers? The After Life? List goes on, and some of those tracks has some of the sickest wordplay you’ll ever hear. You guys can hate Lil Wayne but really you should just hate the industry that promotes it.

  8. rodhavji says:

i respect what youre saying but you can’t get past the fact that one dude talks about bitches and hos and another can form pretty much any topic into amazing verse through brilliant lyricism. yes theyre both hiphop but one represents a side to humanity that is amazing and the other represents several missing steps in evolution

  9. shutthefuckuploser says:

@MagentaDick cuz wayne is a turd

  10. VideoGamesAnyDay says:

this man has 2 be a frigin robot how can someone come up with such mad ill lyrics and hardly anyone knows him wtf is up with that

  11. 888kermit says:

    cuz he cannot rap

  12. STFDxFinalFiasco says:

    @barrymccawkiner ur the truuuuth loolololol

  13. BarryMcCawkiner says:

I hear you, and you make good points. Corporate run pop-hop for the 12 year old girls will always exist, I know rappers don’t NEED to be super-lyrical or wordsmiths or super deep, but I can’t help but think it would advance the quality of the genre. Lil Wayne is making the 12 year olds bounce, and more power to him, I guess.. I just can’t ignore what Lupe does for hip hop as a lyrical artist, and that it is so beneficial at a time where songs like lollipop are blasting everywhere you go

  14. Ginga says:

Very good point. There shouldn’t be a strict definition what hip-hop should or shouldn’t be. However, there seems to be a widespread love Wayne. Everyone has their own tastes but how can a guy who talks about the same three things on his songs be the “best rapper alive”? I just think he’s super overrated.

  15. MagentaDick says:

But it’s still rap…Like what Lupe said about Soulja Boy – he still represents what rap and hip hop is supposed to be; something that comes in all kinds of forms and styles..Not everyone needs to be super lyrical or super deep, and people start acting mad elitist trying to define what’s Hip Hop and what’s not. Lupe didn’t diss Weezy on this track anywhere..Lil Wayne is doing his own shit and so is Lupe, there’s no reason for the hate..

    haha street fighter for real!

  18. choppisticks says:

trimmed this video and made a ringtone 0:46 – 1:10 on tube2to ne

  19. BarryMcCawkiner says:

    @magentalDick

anyone who repeats the word lollipop for 3 verses and giggles on his songs the rest of the time & calls himself a rapper deserves to have his ass called out by those who understand real rap, that’s why.

  20. MagentaDick says:

Why do you guys constantly hate on Wayne for?

  21. mrgreene2007 says:

    diz nigga killed it……..weezy who!

  22. StAtZxGrAFFiTixMaXx says:

yea but at the same time.. its fireman.. it wasn’t all that to begin with…tell him to try to beat wayne on a real mixtape song.. like “hardbody”.. if you haven’t heard.. and this is the first time i’ve eva recommended a song i usually don’t do dis shit.. but give a listen to “hardbody” by lil wayne if u haven’t heard already its mad old.. but if u wunna destroy wayne at least do it on a song he cut loose on

  24. throwbackable says:
