Have you heard the stories of Abraham Lincoln, or Colonel Sanders, or even Thomas Edison? What do they all have in common?

I bet you’re thinking these guys were very successful. Well, one thing you gotta know, is they guys were very successful, but they also experience some serious failure.

I don’t have exact numbers, but Abraham Lincoln failed as a US Senator, Colonel Sanders was almost broke going door to door to try to sell his chicken recipe, and it was like the hundred somethingth try that resulted in the light bulb.

What made these men a success is that they were persistent, and they never gave up. For them, failure was really only a lesson in what not to do, or what to do differently the next time.

If you want to be successful, whether it be to lose weight, get that promotion, win the guy, then you need to keep on keeping on. There is no guarantee of success, but if you stop, or you don’t try, there is 100% guarantee of failure.

I hope you never give up and you keep on pushing forward to that goal and make sure you always push for success!

Here is a cool article I came across on cnn.com It was from Oprah. And you all know when Oprah says something, we should all follow!

Anyway, thought you might find this interesting reading and good advice. Hope you are all keeping things real, eating well, and getting your exercise!

Take it easy…

1. I’m married and exhausted. Sex or sleep?

“Both,” says Paul Glovinsky, PhD, co-author of “The Insomnia Answer.” “It’s not just a question of sex but of timing. Often, women are stimulated by sex and can’t sleep afterward.” Which, as you know, means he crashes like a mighty oak while you lie awake and fume.

“If you can time things to coincide with the time of day when you’re at peak energy, your sex life will be significantly more satisfying.” (Remember sex in the morning? Weekend naptime?)

And speaking of time, Linda Young, Ph.D., a Washington-based therapist who specializes in helping women foster healthy relationships, adds this: “The average encounter is only around 20 minutes, so ask yourself why you’re hesitant. Your resistance might be a reflection of your lack of satisfaction with the sex.” Or your fear of intimacy, your performance anxiety, your anger about something else in the relationship — the point being that sexual unhappiness can be a shield for many other types of issues. Oprah.com: Need a reason to have sex tonight?

2. My clock is ticking. Settle for the guy I care about, or hold out for The One, who may never show up?

Do. Not. Settle. “Both of you — not to mention the children you might have — may pay the price of a fractured relationship later,” says psychotherapist Ken Page, founder of the dating workshop “Deeper Dating.”

Marrying Mr. Almost The One is, on the other hand, perfectly admissible. “If someone is your match in 75 to 85 percent of the things that are important to you — values, character strengths, how he treats other people, emotional fitness — that’s not settling,” says Young. “But it’s up to you to infuse ‘good enough’ with energy and passion so that it becomes fantastic. And chemistry counts; you need to be attracted to each other.”

3. I’ve met a great guy. He never calls. Should I call him?

“It’s 2008. You can call,” says Steve Santagati, author of “The MANual” and resident expert at AskSteveSantagati.com. Still, Santagati urges you not to put the guy on the spot. “Let him initiate plans. You can just say hello to open the lines of communication, and he might hear something in the phone call that he didn’t get the first time you met.” The way he responds will tell you whether you have a future together. Oprah.com: Inside the male mind

4. He’s married, but he says he’s not happy and it’s ending. I should stay away, right?

Run as though you’re fleeing a burning house. Which, in fact, you are.

“He’s already showing you he hasn’t put enough distance between himself and his problematic relationship,” says Young. “If you get involved, he’s going to subject you to all his issues, and you’re going to be a wonderful dumping ground.”

5. When, if ever, is it a good idea to try again with a guy whose heart you’ve already broken?

About as often as pigs fly. “Usually, you can’t go backward,” says Manhattan-based matchmaker Janis Spindel. “It’s a case-by-case scenario, but statistics show that it doesn’t usually work.”

The case where it might work: when the failure was unrelated to your attraction or personalities but caused by outside circumstances — say, one of you was going through a family tragedy, or you were transferred to another city. Absent such extenuating circumstances, analyze what went wrong the first time, assume a similar dynamic will arise again, and then determine whether that dynamic is feasible in your current life.

6. I love my partner, but the sex is underwhelming. Stay the course or go?

Neither. Instead, you’re going to do the hardest thing you’ve ever done. “Think about the things that turn you on in the deepest ways, the things that make you feel most loved and cared for,” says Page. “What kind of touch? What words? What kind of pacing makes you feel the most affection for your partner? Tell each other, no matter how wild or tame your desires might seem. When the two of you are unafraid to be naughty and vulnerable together, the experience can be amazing.” Sex thrives on risk and surrender, and you’re probably missing one or both. Oprah.com: Should you stay or go?

Walking for Fat loss…or running for Fat Loss????

wallking for fat loss

Sooo … Jogging or walking, which is better for the exercise weight loss? Well, they are both not so good if you want rapid weight loss, but I will show you how you can make 2 Amendments to 1 of exercises to make 1 of the best weight loss exercises you can possibly do.

First, some basic information …

If you are here for improvement and plan on jogging, you can burn a lot of calories during your jogging. The problem is when you are finished jogging, you are done burning calories. Not good! No burn after impact effect. For the time you put in, this is not an efficient use of time to maximize the loss of fat.

Well, if your exercise plan includes walking, it is usually good for the long term and slow weight loss, but bad for the rapid weight loss.

As I mentioned, you can implement 2 Changes in any of the above to make a great weight loss exercise. Guess what exercise I an talking about … Jogging or walking?

Walking!

Here lies the problem … go walking on a flat surface, well, it stinks for fast weight loss, but walking on a slope of 10-15 degrees works amazingly for massive weight quickly. They are quite different. Why? As you go on the slopes of oxygen creates an enormous deficit, which forces your body to be bodyfat Scavenger your energy for a fast … Thus, your bodyfat is melted off the energy.

All you have to do is go 15-20 minutes per day on a treadmill with it inclined. This has proven to be a superior weight loss exercise. That is change # 1.

Here is change #2 … when walking, take deep breath for 1 per minute. This time has to do with oxygen intake. Everything you do is inhale for 5 seconds, and in 5 seconds and exhale for 5 seconds. 1 Avoid every minute you walk. It has been proven to help you burn an additional 22-30% more calories during a hike.

So, jogging or walking, it’s better weight loss exercise? If you make these changes 2 above, Walking is the best exercise for you to do.

Interested in walking to lose weight? Well, before you start a walking program, you need to know 2 simple things you can do to burn up to 30 percent more calories and lose weight very quickly when you come.

If you do not do these 2 things, then your typical walking program will not bring you fast weight loss, which I hope results.

Walking to lose weight - 2 tricks

1st Walk on an incline

Just go on a flat surface is excellent for long-term weight loss, but if you are looking for quick and rapid weight loss, you can make a simple adjustment … go to the hills.

Walk on the hill … or you can walk on an incline on a treadmill 10 or 15 degrees and go to the 15-20 minutes a day. Try it once and you’ll see. Within a few weeks you will see visible changes in your body.
2nd Deep breathing while walking

The more oxygen you can inhale while walking, the more calories you burn off. Deep breathing works. Here’s how.

Every minute you’re walking, take a deep breath … inhale for 5 seconds, hold for 5 seconds and exhale for 5 seconds. Nothing more, nothing less. Just do that for the entire 15-20 minute walk.

It’s like double whammy for weight loss when you combine incline walking with breathing. Your weight loss results will skyrocket.

Walking to lose weight is great … especially when combined with 2 techniques for rapid weight loss.

The tips for real weight loss, and one of the most difficult in my opinion, is to find a friend who can count that has similar goals! The study clearly shows that people who diet and exercise with a friend, stay in their programs longer and are more effective.

Finding a friend whose style meshes with yours is hard enough, but if you can find that perfect person, then hang up, they are gold! One of the best motivators is the man who counts on you every day.

How to go about implementing this exercise better edge weight loss and find a good friend, if you’re lucky to have her life in your own home? There are several ways to do so, but you will need to be ready shortly. Whenever possible, walk during the lunch break at work, it will probably be very easy to “collect” colleagues during happening. People tend to see results and want to join in. You’ll be surprised how you can become closer while walking and talking for half an hour every day. Finally, if you are patient May be able to mark a buddy training outside the office!

Try joining a gym, especially the smaller ones, where you actually talk with others who are: development. This place timetables would be ideal. Make a point which is nice when you notice that people are accustomed during the workout in time. Finally, you can offer a kind of partnership, where both are working on similar goals and support each other.

Consider as an exercise class through the local recreation center, YMCA or adult education classes. This could be martial arts, yoga or something like jazzercise. Gradually getting to know others in the class and scope likely candidates. Indeed, there would be no need for the class to be physically connected. Participants in art class or any class that I contribute to one another may be that special relationship.

So do not wait to use this activity for weight loss, because today it is most impressive success! If you’re lucky, you find a spirit of kinship, which has similar objectives and is ready to contribute to the fitness fair!

There is nothing extraordinary that over the statement. Anyone, even a complete stranger as I can tell you to go ahead and do it because it’s good for you, and you believe it anyway and I assume, gospel truth. But what exactly are these benefits for the exercise, and why you should really give him the time of the day?

The exercise benefit # 1: Body

A very important reason for you to pull you from your sedentary existence is that as overweight or obese, the greater the risk for a variety of other health problems like heart disease and diabetes.

Here is the unpleasant news for the fat-bellied them - recent studies have also shown an undeniable link between your growing waistline and the threat of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, NHL or a potentially fatal form of cancer, the root of the Immune system.

Translation: beer belly - bad. If it does not motivate you to work to bring religiously every morning, I do not know what will. You maintain an active lifestyle strengthens the immune system and thereby help to harmful diseases at bay.

The exercise benefit # 2: Mind

Not only will your body the benefits of exercise, but your mind will be grateful. Studies have shown that exercise can increase your intelligence. It improves memory and learning, increase alertness, helps us to think more clearly and improve specific cognitive impairment in elderly people.

A valid explanation for the latter solution would be that after an aerobic exercise, the heart is able to pump blood efficiently and can contain more oxygen to the heart then sends on certain areas of the brain in a race.

The exercise benefit # 3: Soul

Tests show that a hot dose of physical activity to improve mood and alleviate depression and anxiety. Experts have found that exercise triggers the release of certain chemicals in the brain like dopamine, norepinephrine and endorphins, all of our natural, built-in antidepressants. This explains why we tend to a high without a job, and we feel good about ourselves after each grueling training session.

The exercise advantage # 4: Social Support

And let us not forget that the exercise is also a good way to make new friends, as well as a chance to bond with old markets. The social support you get from participation in a group training or even a sport is good for the emotional wellbeing and can significantly to your sense of power and success. There’s nothing like some healthy competition to keep you in the groove.

Whether it is dancing, cycling, hiking, mountaineering, or even something as simple as breathing, movement can and should play in your daily life. If you have time for TV, you have time. And it is not just for ordinary, old-fashioned vanity’s sake, but for an optimal holistic health of body, mind and soul.
